BASBA is working on the implementation of the FONASBA (The Federation of National Associations of Ship Brokers and Agents) Quality Standard for its members.
The FONASBA Quality Standard is designed to assist the shipowners and operators to identify ship agents and brokers that throughout their operation have demonstrated a tangible commitment to quality. The Quality Standard is awarded to the companies that have demonstrated their compliance to the following requirements:
- A member of a FONASBA member association
- Can prove their financial standing in accordance with the accounting laws of their country of domicile
- Have made a firm commitment to professionalism and the ongoing education and training of their staff
